Subject: General Public Meeting
The Employment Equity Standards Committee is a committee which favors the exchange of information and consultations between members, its representatives and management. This tribunal provides members with the opportunity to discuss questions and preoccupations of general interest. Several members, both male and female, have suggested that the policy concerning the female target group should be changed to less rigid standards; whereas, others believe that this would be a step backwards for the Employment Equity Standards Program. We are therefore starting a public consultation to receive feedback about this question.
